Re: Question of the Day...
the biggest, eh?
Well, something that honestly bothers me is that when I meet someone and they find out that FH is going to be a doctor, they think (and have flat out said) oh so that's why you're marrying him...
How rude! It drives me nuts. I met and fell in love and knew that he was the one before he even got into med school...
I've learned to joke about it or just say I'm a lucky girl - let them interpret that anywhich way... He knows why I'm marrying him.

People always tell me the same tricia, youre so mature for your age sometimes you need to just kick back and stop being so serious. Whatever they say...i know how to have fun, its just that my definition of fun is very different than their definition i guess!

I get that a lot too...
Or whenever I'm like 'oh things have been stressful and we have a lot going on' they are like 'oh it's OK- just think- you are marrying A DOCTOR!!!!' umm, first he is not a Doctor yet and second, that is not the end all to end all, ya know?
My close girlfriends have said that before-- and it's totally different when they say it because they are close with me and they are just being silly and joking-- I mean it more when people I don't really know or strangers say it to me.
And they also think that is WHY I'm with him which is ridiculous-- Vinny is wonderful, attractive, sweet, funny and a million other things--- and when I met him-- HA! He was WASHING CARS for a living and working off of tips- he saved for my ring with TIP money from the car wash!
So, that's the glamorous truth

I can completely relate, obviously...
we met at Mulcahys in Wantagh and he was teaching the MCAT at Kaplan - nowhere near glamorous...

That I am stuck up or b!tchy. I am just quiet and shy and I guess because of that people think that I think I am stuck up.

Re: Question of the Day...
That I'm cold or stuck up, it's not true. I'm just a little shy and insecure.
Also that I am rude because I don't wave at people, but the fact is that I hate contacts and I can't see people's faces unless they are at arms length. LOL. I heard that was the rumor at the old gym I used to go to from my trainer.

I get that alot. I am not about everyones business so they think I think I am better. I just don't inflict my thoughts on others.

Re: Question of the Day...
That I am stuck up and no fun. When the truth is I am shy and am very self conscious. It is ridiculous that people think I think I am so much better than them. I hate that people think I am no fun.

Re: Question of the Day...
that I am well off b/c I live in Howard Beach....or that I must hang out with the Gotti's in my spare time!! lol I have worked for everything we have.....my family was definitely poor growing up.....if you want to get anything in this world, you have to WORK and FH & I definitely have!!!
Also b/c most people think I look like I'm 18 (I'm 27), I find people don't realize how mature I am. I hate being talked to like I'm 5!!!!

Re: Question of the Day...
Mine is that either a) I'm spoiled and selfish because I'm an only child; or b) that I must have at least one sibling because I don't give off the 'only child vibe.' The misconception varies based on whether the person knows I'm an only child or not. Guaranteed, they say 'wow, you don't act like an only child!' what's that supposed to mean??

oh no... he is just taking the kaplan course now (he is ALMOST done) and he just finished his second to last undergrad class-- wooo hooo! he will be taking the last one in july (accelerated) and then he will be DONE and ready to take the M-CATS which is in mid-August for him.
that's so funny that your FH was teaching it-- is he still? Vinny is going to one tonight! but he has a female teacher I think.
