I personally love when we go to Tai Show East, a Hibachi steakhouse in Oakdale with the traditional closed booths.

Depends on what kind of food
Mexican: Quetzalcoatl in Huntington
'Island Food': Rumba in Hampton Bays
Italian: Verona in Farmingdale
American: Lately it's been Sonoma Grill in Holbrook, but when FH lived in Manorville, we went to JC's on a weekly basis. We miss them!

OMG so many favorites but we frequent Garcias which is a mexican restaurant in Forest Hills and any Colombian restaurant will do!

Sawa in Syosset (favorite for date ambiance). In terms of favorite food - Hikudo in Huntington Village is our favorite, but not as nice of ambiance. Late afternoon brunch at Sweet Mama's in Northport is as much a fav date as a dinner for us.

Totally depends on our mood!

Thai: BKNY in Fresh Meadows
Mexican: De Mole in Sunnyside
Greek: Agnati in Astoria or Avli in Bayside
Burgers: Bareburger or Donavons

Lots of Sonoma Grill fans or curious people! FH and I just discovered it about a month ago when we first moved to the area. We absolutely love it! They have great pizza :)
