My FI and I met while teaching in the same school. Im a 6th gr SS teacher and he was a 7th gr Eng teacher. He has since left my school to teach high school elsewhere. But we stayed together 3 yrs later

FI and I met freshman year of college at SUNY Cortland, my best friends roommate went to high school with him, so we met the first day there, clicked instantly (im a sucker for the athletic guys, FI played college football) but we didnt start going out until second semester when FI decided he didnt want to be a male slut anymore Its been 5 years since!

FH and I met orignally at a party in college, but we got to know each other better due to a happy coincidence. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I had a biology class right before he had a class in the same room. So when I left class each day, I would run into him getting coffee at a vending machine right outside the door. So we would always chat, and then eventually we started hangout out . The rest is history...

I met him at church through his older sister. I had such a crush on him when i first met him. We became friends right away and a year and a half later started going out. This August makes 5yrs going out.

Believe it or not I met my FH in elementary school...kindergarten to be exact. To make a long story short...we were good friends in elementary school, lost in touch when he went to a private school. We ended up meeting again when he worked in a local grocery store. We lost touch when he left this job...met up again when he was our waiter at Red Lobster a couple of years later. It was then that marked the beginning of our friendship again. We talked online every night, eventually hung out....at the time he wasn't ready for a relationship so I met someone else and as awful as this is, I became engaged to someone else. My FH came around and after my prior FI and I broke up, there was Dave asking me out. After some persistance, I agreed to date him (had this huge fear of ruining the friendship we developed had any thing happened to us) and that was the best thing I ever did. Here I am engaged to be married to him and realized that things definitely happened for a reason and God worked in mysterious ways. Firm believer in that!!

I met my fiance at the NY State Renaissance Faire. We had both just broken up with someone less than a month before, and we both weren't looking for love. He was working at a vender of the Faire and I was a visitor. We became friends very quickly and now we just can't get enough of each other.

My best friend and FH's best friend are married. They introduced us, a year after they started dating.

We met Junior year at SUNY Old Westbury in an Organizational Business class...We remained friends until after we graduated (May 2001) partially due to the fact that we were both dating other people...Almost 5 years later, here we are, 11 months & counting til our wedding

In March of 2004, we were both members of JDate.com for Jewish singles. I saw a picture of a guy with a nice smile and I figured I would check out his profile. One of his listed interests was Syracuse University Basketball. I said to myself that since I was an SU grad, I should start chatting with him. I initiated the chat and we realized that we both had been at SU in the same dorm for our freshman year. We also went to the same bars and ate in the same dining hall. I told him it would have been funny had hooked up being that we had so much in common at school - and many drunken nights.

Mind you, I don't know his name at this point because all we had to go on was a JDate alias/screen name. He asked me if I had my freshman register - the book that has all of the incoming freshman, where they graduated high school as well as their majors. I did, in fact have it and then he asked me to look on a particular page for his picture to see if I could match the face in the book to the face on the screen. I scanned the page and all of a sudden I typed 'OMG I KNOW YOU!!!'.

It turns out that we met at a fraternity party back in September of 1988 and he was my very first college hook-up and my second kiss ever. After I told him this, he remembered everything. Our looks had changed so dramatically that we couldn't recognize each other from the pictures on JDate - he grew taller, got a hair cut and lost his glasses. I chopped off my hair and lost weight. We quickly got on the phone with each other to reminisce. We met after a week of talking on the phone just to satisfy a curiosity and have been together ever since.

we met in college at sacred heart university in CT. I was a freshman and he was a junior we were pledging into greek life...we became friends and now here we are

On the high school track

I was Ms. Suzy Highschool --- SUPER involved. I was in all the music groups, most of the charity groups, and a whole bunch more, but NO SPORTS!!! I wanted to graduate with a Varsity Letter, so I ran track the winter of my junior year.

FH played all sports, spotted 'the spandex-clad hottie on the track' and had to know more!

For the next couple weeks, he would wave in the halls, call me 'beautiful', or 'pumpkin', or 'shorty' (I'm almost a foot shorter than him) - 'cause I wouldn't tell him my name!!!

Here we are, 5 years later...it's heaven.

I met FI in NYC - five days after I moved to NYC. He has really spiky, crazy hair...so I reached out and felt it as he walked by (what if I had never 'reached out' my hand...it's so weird how one action can change your life forever), and the rest is history...
