Question of the Day: How did you meet your FI

My FI and I met while teaching in the same school. Im a 6th gr SS teacher and he was a 7th gr Eng teacher. He has since left my school to teach high school elsewhere. But we stayed together 3 yrs later

Thanksgiving Eve 1999... Exit Nightclub in NYC.. our eyes connected in the middle of the dance floor.. the rest is history!

One of my sorority sisters from college knew my FH before we meet. They knew each other from the nightclub scene back in the day (Metro, Carringtons). We were all out over the summer in 1999 & she ran into him at Co-Co's. She introduced us & I was instantly attracted to him & we kept running into each other all over the island. Finally, we hung out outside of the club/bar scene & he asked me to go to his cousin's wedding (which was held at John Anthonys-LOL) and we have been together ever since July of 1999.

I was his boss . We have both since left that company (on our terms).

In March of 2004, we were both members of JDate.com for Jewish singles. I saw a picture of a guy with a nice smile and I figured I would check out his profile. One of his listed interests was Syracuse University Basketball. I said to myself that since I was an SU grad, I should start chatting with him. I initiated the chat and we realized that we both had been at SU in the same dorm for our freshman year. We also went to the same bars and ate in the same dining hall. I told him it would have been funny had hooked up being that we had so much in common at school - and many drunken nights.

Mind you, I don't know his name at this point because all we had to go on was a JDate alias/screen name. He asked me if I had my freshman register - the book that has all of the incoming freshman, where they graduated high school as well as their majors. I did, in fact have it and then he asked me to look on a particular page for his picture to see if I could match the face in the book to the face on the screen. I scanned the page and all of a sudden I typed 'OMG I KNOW YOU!!!'.

It turns out that we met at a fraternity party back in September of 1988 and he was my very first college hook-up and my second kiss ever. After I told him this, he remembered everything. Our looks had changed so dramatically that we couldn't recognize each other from the pictures on JDate - he grew taller, got a hair cut and lost his glasses. I chopped off my hair and lost weight. We quickly got on the phone with each other to reminisce. We met after a week of talking on the phone just to satisfy a curiosity and have been together ever since.

Such a sweet story!

We met through a friend of a friend. My senior year of college I went up to visit a friend from hs at Penn. He was getting his masters there at the time. He knew a friend of a friend of my friend.

We met at wedding between our friends in Hawaii. I was the MOH for a college roomie, and he was a groomsman. We chatted during the 3 days leading up to the wedding and things just clicked during the reception. The rest is history!

we're high school sweathearts...

broke up for our entire Senior Year (sewing oats)..got back together right before Prom!! Went to Prom, and I guess that marks the real start of it all. 6 years since we graduated, know him 10 years in September!!!!!

My FI and I met at my sister's Sweet 16 in 1998. He was the DJ and I was just there to have fun with my sis on her b-day. We ended up talking and exchanging numbers. I guess you could say the rest is history.

We met through one of my really good friends. It wasn't even planned out that way. Things just happened.

We were both social work interns at our current place of employment. We became good friends and then began dating.

We met on his 1st day at work. He was taken on the usual tour of the building and when we were introduced and looked at each other our eyes locked and that was it. We played on the company softball team and after about 3 weeks he asked me if I wanted to get some drinks after work. That was our 1st date and after a fabulous night of just talking and laughing the rest is history!!!

At a wedding! My best friend took me as her date, and he was the best man at this wedding. It didnt start there that we started to talk. We saw each other out at the clubs and said hello and finally I asked his name and been together since
