How soon before the wedding did you make them? Did you call the hotel to see how many rooms had booked? Did they let you into the room to leave it, or did they get it when they checked in?

Re: Question on OOT bags...
We kind of knew how many rooms we were expecting but we waiting until after the last date to get the discount had passed and asked for a room list.

Re: Question on OOT bags...
we are in the process of making ours (10/18 date) and i've been calling the hotel periodically to get updates on the number of rooms. we will be leaving them with the front desk to hand out when they check in!

Re: Question on OOT bags...
i think i am going to buy some bags from papermart.com (like 25) and just have them on hand, and make them in late sept when I know for sure. I think I will have around 10 OOT guests booking rooms (we have a lot of people from oot but most are staying with relatives, friends), and then I need 4 bags for gifts at the rd, so the rest I will just have for gifts or whatever. i want to start doing things so I am not going crazy in october. i have most of the stuff for the bags already.

Re: Question on OOT bags...
We made ours a week before and brought them to the hotel the day before the wedding since some guests were checking in that day. They handed them out upon check in.

Ok...good to know. Now...what did you put in them?
Also, we are supplying a limo bus to and from the reception for the guests. There is a note about this in the invite, but I would also like to put a reminder for them on the bag. Something about coming back to the hotel after the church to wait for the bus. They will have time to primp....any suggestions on a poem?

Re: Question on OOT bags...
I called the hotel and found out how many rooms were booked and made 1 extra bag, just in case! The bags are already made, I did them on Sunday and they are all over my living room! Our first guests arrive friday night so the hotel said we can drop off the bags then.

Re: Question on OOT bags...
We also made them the week before (decorated the boxes 2 weeks before, then actually filled them that week). Also dropped them off the day before the wedding so that they could be distributed at check in.
We did the same thing as you with the shuttle - so, we put a timeline on the back of the box (which was an idea i got from these boards. We used gable boxes - i think they are great).
FM me if you want the template or more info!

After our ceremony come back to the hotel, and get prepared to groove. Then hop the shuttle, to (name of hall), where you can bust a move

Re: Question on OOT bags...
I havent even sent out my invites yet and we have 30 rooms booked at the hotel. I ordered pre-printed boxes with our names on them and 'Enjoy Your Stay!'. Since I ordered them pre-printed I had to order 50 of them! LOL.....I am sure we will have close to 40 rooms booked by the wedding. I will probably make them in October and bring them to the hotel the Wednesday before my Friday wedding

I am putting in mine:
Two 100 calorie packs of fritolay products (cheezits, etc) a pack of gum Two granola bars Two bottles of water (was going to make my own labels, but i've decided against it, not that important to me) MAYBE two pieces of fruit, depends on how much money i have the week of the wedding
I was also going to put two individually wrapped cookies from cheryl&co in them. (www.cherylandco.com) they are the best cookies EVER and they all come ind. wrapped. and they aren't a ton of $. But, again, I decided against this - i got the other food at bj's and it was easy and I think i have enough.

Hi! I was thinking about doing the gable boxes as well. Where did you purchase yours and if you would nt mind telling me how much you paid. Would you mind emailing me the template for the label? Thank you so much. Congrats Shari

Re: Question on OOT bags...
FH and I are actually going to start putting them together this weekend so we have another thing checked off! Our hotel made an account for me to go online to check who has booked a room. I can also email the contact person there I've been dealing with to get a list. And we have to drop our bags off at the hotel about a day or so before and they will give them to the guests when they check in.
