Question-Please be honest

Question-Please be honest

So-here's the deal.

I am stressing alot over this guest list issue-so I thought of a plan. Let me know what you think.

What if I did the invites in batches?

Like- First Batch- All Family, and anyone involved in the wedding. (i.e. bridal party, officiant-who is a family friend-ring bearers parents)

When I start getting those back, I will have a better idea of who can be invited-depending on who will be coming. Of course, if no one responds no, or waits until a week before the rsvp date- ill be in the same predicament.

:::sigh:::

There really is no B list because everyone is either family, or close friends. All of the people who would have been on the b list have already been cut..

I say, just send it out to everyone and keep your fingers crossed!

I really don't have any good advice for you. Are you certain your parents won't pay for more than 175 or whatever number you posted before?

positive. my dad said I have no choice but to cut it down. But he did make sure to add 4 more people onto the list before saying that

I think that is definitely doable as long as the first batch is aware of the situation. You don't want anyone to slip.

my best suggestion would be to cut out the +guest off of peoples invites and then if your friends ask to bring someone tell them you need to wait to see your RSVPs first because you have too many people on your list.

that's my suggestion as well....

your batch idea is pretty much like having a B list - so you're headed in the right direction with that as well...

I know how awful it is to have that kind of stress from your family (dad adding more people) and having to please everyone. I'm so sorry.

I have to agree with this- we did just this (we invited like 230 people and only got 115!) and it worked out.
