Question - Promotion and Raises

Just wondering, When someone gets a promotion, is it normal to get the same percent raise that you would if you only got a raise and not a promotion? Or should the raise percent be higher if you got a promotion too?

some companies will prehaps do an annual review at the same time as a promotion and make the deal look sweeter. it depends on your promotion grade level also (my company atleast).

if accepting a new position..its important to ask when you next chance for a review will be or somthing like that
