question re: BP gifts at engagement party

We are having an engagement party next month. Do I give gifts to the girls in my bridal party? Like a cute tote or something or do I just leave the gifts till the rehearsal dinner? hmmm im confused

I got them all 'Team Bride' and 'Team Groom' buttons to make them stand out. I wanted the guests to know who was in our BP.

I got totes for the girls and gave it to them at the engagement party...kinda like a 'welcome gift'

I plan to have a dinner for the BP to give them their gifts. I'm giving my girls Indian sari's to wear for our 'Wedding Songs' (an Indian dance party) event so I need to give them their gifts a month before the wedding.

Typically people give them at the RD, but I think you can give the gifts whenever you would like.

Mine was last weekend...and I gve the girls little notepads with their initials (to keep track of all their to-dos!) and a corsage to make them stand (but half prob didn't put them on). Just wrote a quick 'Will you be my bridesmaid?' note to make it official. As for favors I did candles from Christmas Tree Shop ($1.99 for 3 - great find) and calendar cookies with our wedding date! I had them made by a friend, but they are based on the ones on the flour pot website. LOVE THEM!!
