Question re ceremony

we are not having our catholic ceremony in chuch, we are having it on the beach as most of you know.. we are having a reading from the old and new testament, but not a gospel.

should we still have a responsorial psalm/

the together for life book is confusing, it says that the responsorial psalm is used as a break in between the old and new testament readings.

please help!

This is up to you. Most Catholic Cermonies in CHURCH will have this, but since you're getting married on the beach, you have to decide if it's important enough for you to include.

I know we're doing the responsorial song - the video will look great b/c our Church has a great singer, plus it won't look like reader 1 goes up, comes down as reader 2 is going up to do the next week. It allows for a nice break between readings.
