Question Re: Church Decorations

I was just wondering what everyone is doing for Church Decorations?!?!? And how much is your florist charging?

I have to use a specific Florist for my centerpieces and Hall decorations.....I'm probably getting all my BoK's and stuff through them as well. I think they may be a little pricey. So I may use another florist fo rthe church.

Help! Need some church quotes to know if i'm being over priced!

Thanks!!!!

Re: Question Re: Church Decorations

I am getting 2 Church Alter pieces from the florist and 14 pew bows. I was debating whether or not to even get the Alter pieces because we are getting married right in the beginning of the holiday season, so I am sure the Church will be decorated already, but I would have been upset if it wasn't, so FH said to just order them.

I am not positive how much the Alter pieces are costing us because they gave me one price for the Alter Pieces, Pew Bows, Bo-k's, Bout's, Coursages, and FG's. Sorry I can not help you there.

Edited because I forgot to put the price of the Alter Pieces.

Re: Question Re: Church Decorations

I'm just doing pew bows. Only getting 6 for every other row. Thats like 40 bucks. Not doing alter flowers because if you don't plan on bringing them to the RH they just get donated to the church, which isn't a bad thing, but to spend soo much on flowers when you'll only be at the church for the most an hour, is just a waste to me.

Re: Question Re: Church Decorations

I don't know the individual prices, but I want to say I'm spending about $250 of my flower budget (don't quote me on that) on church decorations. We're actually having two tall vases filled with red, long-stemmed roses on each side of the altar. My florist will be putting water tubes at the bottom of each rose, and the flowers will be brought to my reception site for the maitre d' to hand out to my female guests as they enter the reception.

We're also getting pew bows, with alternating white flowers for each row. The flower/bows will then be brought to the reception site and tied around the 'bride and groom' chairs, which otherwise don't stand out from the rest.

So, we're just trying to get the most use out of the church flowers as possible. Speak to John at Flower Michele... he'll steer you in the right direction!

Re: Question Re: Church Decorations

We used a family friend so I don't have exact breakdown of cost---

We just had one arrangement on the altar and pew bows with carnations--that we used on the dock at Chateau La Mer later....also used the arrangement at our reception hall as well by our table.
