Has anyone worn or seen someone wear a veil with tiny rhinestones scattered on it? It sparkles beautifully, but I don't know how it will photograph. Will it look like dark dots all over the veil? Do you think it is 'over-kill'?

I can't say for sure if it is overkill or not without seeing the dress, but if you are wearing a simple dress and are not wearing any jewelery on your neck, I think it will be okay.
I do think the rhinestone things will show up as little dark spots in the pics but maybe you can try it on and take a pic to test it out.

I've never seen rhinestones but, I have seen pearls and they looked beautiful. Maybe you could ask your photographer. The rhinestones might create a glare.

my cathedral length veil will have pearls & rhinestones but my elbow length veil/blusher won't. rhinestones may cause spots in pics (ASK your photographer) and depending on the dress it may be overkill

I've actually bought some crystals to sew on my cathedral veil. I saw it in a store and had to have it but not at that price! I think it will be beautiful as long as you get the sparkly kind and not the plastic ones.

Just wanted to show you a pic in my dress. The veil I am wearing is my veil and it has very tiny crystals all over it. You can hardly tell.

If you must embellish your veil, go with austrian crystals or pearls. Although the look great in person, in photographs, rhinestone wind up looking like little black dots.
