Question regarding invitations - what would you do?

Long story short - my boss, who i'm rather fond of, and I have been talking about the wedding quite a bit. She put me in contact with her sister who does invitations as a favor.

About two weeks ago, I called her. We talked and she was a bit snippy on the phone to me but figured it may be just the way she is over the phone. I asked her if she could send me an approximate cost for the invitations because I didn't want her to mock anything up without seeing if i can fit it into my budget.

Fast forward to Monday. I had not heard from her so sent her an email asking for the information. I finally received an email back today and she said that she hasn't forgotten about me, and she'll get me cost information by end of week.

I'm so frustrated and want to tell her to go to hell, but in a professional way...but don't know if I'm over reacting. Am I out of line by telling her I assumed she didn't want to do business since I didn't hear from her and decided to seek out other resources????

Thanks in advance for any input

maybe because your wedding is so far away she doesn't think it's a 'rush'....

i had that problem with an invite person and i finally emailed her and said 'i'm going to order something by the end of this month, if you are interested in showing me something please let me know'...

but like, this was only a month or so ago - you have so much time for invites, that i really wouldn't stress...which is why she probably isn't stressing!

HTH!

I had this problem with my save the dates - we used one of FH's friends sisters, and she was so bad at communication. We finally got the finished product from her, but I will never deal with her again. If you feel this way already, maybe you should go with someone else. The last thing you need is the added stress of trying to reach someone that doesn't respond!
