Question regarding take out boxes for VH - please help.

I am providing take-out boxes for my guests for the Viennese hour but I don't know what size to get...

Did any of you ladies do this or are thinking of doing it?

I'm thinking 6x6x3 - that's a good size right?

I don't want my giant Uncle Tony taking home the whole display.

I wish I could help but I didn't have a VH. What I can say (from having a candy buffet) is that whatever size container you get, your guests will fill it, just something to keep in mind.

i think 6 x 6 x 3 is good size. my RH provides the take home boxes though...maybe you could ask if yours does the same.

That's like the typical styrofaom (sp?) take out container size right? Sounds like it is. I think that would be about right!

At my brother's wedding, the RH provided boxes, and it was the round aluminum ones with the cardboard tops that diners use for take-out items...you may want to go to a restaurant supply store and just buy those

I got 2x2x4 Jenn....FF handed them out for me during dessert. I'm pretty sure LE will do the same. I did 1 pp

I got mine from E-favor mart I was wrong they were 4x4x2. I made labels for them and I'll send you the template if you want it...i don't think i have a pic but I have a TON of left overs

They're $25 for 100. they came quickly and they did the job! Everyone was filling em up at the end of the night! It seriously was a great idea because by the end of the night everyone's so full no one wants to eat the dessert.

Would you kill me if I said I think 6x6x3 is a better size? It doesn't look like much would fit in a 4x4x2. But Jess used them, so if she says it worked well, go with that.

I personally would go with something that's like 5x5x2 if such a thing exists.

I understand what your saying, but 6x6 is BIG! Its not like a little token 'here, take home a few cookies' A 6x6x3 box will hold a small cake...I don't think the hall will appreciate it and its alot for people to carry. If they want they can take an extra little box. Its not for them to take home dessert for the week. Its just enough for you to feel like you got your $$s worth.

JMO...you could think diff and its totally fine. I'm not even sure if they make them in that size though.

This is pretty economical too. They can get up there in price. I think these are like $0.25 ea.

Hmm I might have to agree, I'm ordering the 6x6x3 because I thought the 4x4x2 was too small. My BM said it was too small nothing but some small cookies would fit into it.
