Question: Shower pricing

Question: Shower pricing

If you have recently been in a bridal party or know what your bridal party has paid for your shower, how much did you/they pay? Oh yes, and how many people did you have?

BTW the prices on the poll are for the total cost of the shower.

TIA

I would say around $1500, probably a bit more. This is for 40 people with unlimited champagne punch. Also, include a photographer and bellydancer.

My Mom is paying for most of it...in my culture, you don't ask the your BM's to do this sort of thing. They just do games/CP's and decorate.

I havent' had my shower yet but I know about all of the financial details and whatnot. It's costing about 1500 for about 50 people.

My location is $1200 alone so when all is said and done it should be about $1500 but its only for about 25-30 ppl.

My parents pay for the shower. My culture doesnt ask for the BP to pay. I guess it is around $60-70 pp- 50 guests

Re: Question: Shower pricing

My parents are paying for the actual party, which is for 40 people at I believe 25 or 28 pp. My mother wanted to pay, which is fine, but we actually just had some major issues because she didn't want to ask the girls for any money, and as a result was not going to do decoration or favors or anything. So we had a nice big, long discussion that my BP who has not really been asked to do anything or spend anything can chip in for favors and CPs and print menus and invites and stuff. Kinda annoyed me, because they really haven't done anything to help with anything so far, and pissed me off that my mom was going to exacerbate the situation. Ugh. So total, I would estimated hovering around the 1500 mark for the total.

I don't know about Lola but I'm Latina and the mom(parents) pay. I've never paid for a bridal shower for any wedding I've been in. I've also heard that its a Queens thing for the mother of the Bride to host.

My friend is neither Latina or from Queens so i dunno why she thought my mom would pay...my parents are paying for the reception and my mom did contribute some money to the shower...
