I am sending out our STD's this week, I am also including the little card the hotel gave us when we blocked the rooms. Should I send a little something explaining exactly what it is for? If so what should it say?

If the card does not explain what to do type up a very short message saying something like : We have reserved a block of rooms under the group name 'XYZ' If you plan on staying at the hotel, we would greatly appreciate you reserving a room as soon as possible so that we can ensure that everyone is together for all of the festivities Booking in advance will also make it easier for us to arrange transportation (via shuttle) to and from the reception hall.
That is what we wrote :)

You can it doesn't have to be fancy or maybe if you have a monogram put that on the top of the paper- just to add a nice touch.
