Have you ever had an everything bagel with SUNFLOWER seeds in it? I ask this, because I never have...until today. I bought a bag of Thomas' 'New york style' bagels and went to have one with ham and cheese on it, just the way I like it. Everything looked normal from the top of the bagel, but when I bit into it, there were weird crunchy things. I looked, and cooked into the bottom of the bagel were sunflower seeds (not with shells but just the seeds). It killed the whole taste and texture of the bagel. I thought it was very strange. I never thought sunflower seeds were a normal part of everything bagels, but I could be wrong. Does anybody else think this is strange?

i actually have had them with sunflower seeds on them once. i also thought it was a tad strange lol

no - that's totally weird, but hey, I guess it IS an 'everything' bagel, right
I was so p*issed this morning when I went to get my everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and there were none left

I think just the Thomas' bagels have the sunflower seeds baked into them. I've never gotten an everything bagel from a bagel store ot deli that has had them, but remember that the Thomas' do.

Yeah, no more Thomas' for me. Unfortunately, they're so unappealing to me, that I have to throw away a whole bag of them. Oh well...

Up until yesterday, I had only seen plain, but I saw the everything in the supermarket and decided to give it a shot.
ETA: Thomas' doesn't have a website, but there was a supermarket website that listed all the varieties of Thomas' bagels:
