Question..votive placecard questions..need help!

I was just wondering for those of you who have done these or who have looked into them..Is it better to do the clear votive holder or frosted if you are using vellum paper around the holder, or doesnt it matter. And also, i keep hearing mixed things about whether to use a tealight or just the regular votive candle...I heard a few times to use the tealight, so the holder doesnt get too hot, but other people told me the votive candle is fine. STRESSED!! ONLY 33 DAYS TO GO!! Thanks ladies for any help with this!

i used the tea light. I also used spray glue on the votive and rolled it in sand to give it a frosted look - but i'm a beach bride, so you may not want to do sand..

I burnt my votive for over 2 hours and it was NOT hot at all. I was confident it was good to use. I used clear since I was going to use the vellum paper I bought all around, that required cutting, double sided tape and a lot more aggrivation.
I then found another thread that suggested using
Avery cler labels..let me tell you how happy I am a found it. FH and I did 80 votives in less than 1.5 hours. How happy am I that it is done.
