Question, what do u consider to be a 'big' wedding?
Original post by princess99
Just wondering. We are having 150 people... is that considered big? I always thought it was average, but when people ask me how many and I tell them, they are like- 'Wow that is a big wedding!'

To me 200+ is big.

I think anything over 200 is BIG. 100-180 about average these days. Plus you can have a small number of people coming to your wedding and still have a BIG wedding...depending how elaborate you make it
I think that's what I would say too. One friend of mine went to one for 500.
I don't even know 500 peple.. LOL

We're probably having about 250 which is the average for most of our friends and families. The 'biggest' I went to was 425, the room reminded me of a football field.

My wedding math:
under 50= tiny 51-99=small 100-199=average 200-399=large 400+ =extra large
Acordoing to that scale, mine will be small.

I dont think the amount of people is the only factor that makes a wedding BIG... It's the grandness of it...The amount of money spent on things... How everything looks...Etc...

ooh- yes, quaint, I like that! I'm not familiar with the place you are having it. How were they able to accomodate such a small party?

The place is a small b'n'b up in a very small town in the Western mountains of Maine. We're having the ceremony at the town gazebo. It's fabulous!!
