that was our second choice too...or rather, first choice but it would have been too much $$$ in the end

Harbor Club and John Anthony's were both second choices - FH LOVED Harbor Club but I couldn't justify us spending all the extra $$$ - and John Anthony's got all shady and weird with us - meanwhile - I had $1000 in my pocketbook that I was about to leave as a deposit - we drove right back to Chateau La Mer and booked them - which was my original first choice! ABout a month after that - I saw on the boards all the stuff about JA's and Harbor Club's financial problems and I knew we made the right choice!!

Land's End was #2 for us... Flowerfield was too hard to pass up!

I really did not have a second choice. I saw Oheka and really liked it. While I never looked at it, part of me wishes that I checked out the Angel Orsanz site in NYC.

Chataeu La Mer was #2 & FLoral Terrace was #3 but I REALLY wanted on the water. The Riviera was the 1st place we looked & we loved it as soon as we walked in but we had to go check out other places just to make sure!

We didn't look at too many halls. Looked at a few that didn't thrill us at all. Then we saw Land's End and that was it!!

Ours was Port Jefferson Country Club. At the time we were making our decision, Villa didn't even have sketches yet for us to look at and they didn't know when they'd have something for us to look at. We just didn't feel comfortabel booking a place that we couldn't see.

Garden City Hotel. But they couldn't accommodate an outdoor ceremony so I'm glad I got my first choice!

I didn't have a second choice. This was the third hall I looked at in one day and that was it!

Second choice was Stewart Manor Country Club but it really wasn't a big choice... we both fell in love with Milleridge. It was just that it was our first place we saw and we felt we had to look at other things.
If money wasn't an object... definitely Atlantica.

Jericho Terrace was excellent. The food is very good and I couldnt complain about the service. Our drinks were always filled and whatever we wanted they got for us.
We really didnt have a 2nd choice. We went to Russo's on the Bay but all they had was a morning reception and we didnt want that.
