My mom and I have been discussing my bridal shower and I want to know all about it and be involved.
Also, because i HATE surprises! lol

Just wondering how many girls are knowing about their shower vs. how many don't know anything about theirs.

I agree, i'm not a big fan of surprises either and even if someone tries to surprise me I always figure it out

I said other because I would love to be suprised but it will have to be the week before my wedding in order for my family to be here, so it most likely will not be a suprise!

And another reason I want to be involved is because my FMIL is a real piece of work to deal with so I don't want my mom to stress over anything with her, so it's just easier if I help her. But she disagrees!

I 100% want my shower to be a surprise. The only things about my shower that I know (because I requested) are the location - which is my mother's house - and my cake - which is a Napoleon Cake from Il Toscano in Dougalston. Other that, I do not want to know a thing about it. I plan to shop early for my outfit and leave it at mother's so I have it to change into when I'm surprised.

i picked other bc moh and my mom wants it to be a surprise.....but its gonna be hard to get a surprise past me....i can GUARANTEE i will know about it

I want to be surpirsed with the details, but I told my mom that I want to know when it is because I want to look nice...I told her she can tell me the night before

I already know when mine is. I live OOS so my sis and mom had to tell me when I should come home. But I don't know any of the details like where it is or what the theme is. I like that I get to be a little bit surprised, but not totally bombarded!

I want to be suprised. Usually the hide the OOT cousins and aunts so that won't give it away. Fmil and Fsil who is a bridesmaid probably won't come up for it. I have a feeling it is going to be a place I go to because I told my mom its going to be so obvious when one of my friends ask me to go to lunch or dinner at a place. Guess it's the ale house! hahaha

i want to know everthing. but my sisters are keeping me in the dark. i used to work saturdays so i thought i would for sure know, but i have sats off now so it will be a surprise. none the less, iam making the table numbers! iam THAT anal, and i felt like i HAVE to control something! lol

I gave my mom and friends the theme I wanted for my shower and asked that it be in a mexican rest or latin rest as we are going to mexico and other locations with a latin influence for our honeymoon. That is all I know, my mom was actually telling me too much about it and I ended up being frustrated, so my MOH took control and she told me if I say one more thing about my shower, that I can plan it myself. She is good like that, she asked me if I trusted her to have an amazing shower and I completely do, end of story.

Of course there is a part of me that would like to know when it is because I'm a control freak that way...but I chose to be surprised. I wanna keep this kind of tradition. I know my mom is planning something cause FH asked me for the guest list to get to her, but that's about all I know.

I want to know, and my FMIL and MOH who will be throwing it knows I want to know. I feel like you only get married once and I want to be involved in ALL of it! I actually don't want one at all, so my being involved is only to nix ideas my FMIL starts conjuring up that I'm not OK with lol.
