Question with Addressing Envelopes

Hi girls,

I'm trying to get my envleopes out to inkspun.com this week and I'm looking at the way I did it. I think it's all right but then I realized, do you spell out the state in the address? And what about the word apartment? I know you spell out Street or Avenue but what about the apt and the state?

Like this:
Mr. and Mrs. John Doe
123 Main Street
Apartment 4A
New York, New York 00000

??

i did spell out the word 'apartment' ... but used the abbreviation of the state.

honestly, i wouldn't worry too much about it though ... your guests most likely won't notice so just go with whatever you feel is best.

(this was the best advice i got from a friend who got married last year)
