Question...for Church Brides

I am getting married in the church...but have no idea how much it is going to cost. Anyone have a quote from their church?

last year i paid $550 for the 'suggested donation'...but this year the rates have gone up to $650. just call it what it is...its a FEE!

eta: the breakdown was $300 for the Church and $250 for the organist and singer.

mine is $250 to hold the date..they just started that. Apparently a lot of people would book it and then not show up.
then it's a $500 donation to help pay for the organist, and supplies, etc... but i think if you don't use their vocalists it's $400.

yeah my church is $750 for members also.. but our pre-cana was only $60.

The donation at my church is $500 (for parish members).
The organist is $250 and the singer is $250.
If we do pre-cana within my parish, it is free.

i was told by a friend who had her wedding at my church that it's $600.. that was 2 years ago so i'm expecting to pay $650 to 700..

WOW, these are astronomical prices!!!! I'm really shocked at how much they all charge! I hope my church never calls up and finds out what other churches charge!!!

well since ST.francis doesn't do pre-cana there, we are paying $300 just for that

also for other girls make sure the price you get is also including the donation...sometimes they give a price without the donation fee in there

approx $850

we did pre-cana elsewhere to save time and $.
FH and I both received all of our sacraments in that church, so we can't really go anywhere else.

yeah our donation is between $500-600...its funny bc for some reason i actually expected it to be more, don't know why lol. I thought the church would be around $2000, im not catholic so didn't know alot of these things before hand lol.
