Re: Question...for Church Brides
depends on the church and what type of church. I am getting in a Lutheran church and there is no charge. I dont know about all of them. I do know Catholic churches charge i have seen $300- as much as $1000!!!!

Re: Question...for Church Brides
500 for the church + 150 for the organist and 100 for the soloist (but im not sure if the organist and soloist are requiered....we want to bring in violinits etc)
however...ours does say if u cant afford it to talk to them and theyll work with u etc so maybe other places might do that also

Re: Question...for Church Brides
we had to give a $200 'donation' then we had to tip the priest, deacon, 2 alter servers, and then 2 music women.....lol about $1000 when all was said and done!! LOL!! Isn't one of the 3 vows Poverty? I guess I was sleeping during that lesson in Theology!!!

Ours is $600, but that includes the priest, 2 acolytes (altar boys), the organist, all of the altar flowers, the maintenance guy (to clean up) & the church donation. We're probably going to add another $100+ to that though (it's a small church & we're active members so we just want to do it for ourselves) . HTH!

Our church it is $300 for the church, $150 for organist, $150 for soloist. Even if you do not use the organist or soloist you must still pay them that amount.
With regards to the vow of poverty, it depends what type of priest they are. Diocesen priests do not take that particular vow they get an actual salary but any other priest such as Franciscan friars do take the vow of poverty. Those that do not depend on the Bishop take the vow of poverty.
