Questioning my decision

Questioning my decision

Just absolutely love the fall, why am I not getting married in it? Approached FH on the idea and I got the 'look'. He made a valid point when he said that the Riverview works better in the spring and the arboretum where we are taking our pre-wedding pics is amazing in the spring. I know he's right. Just can't help with the 'what ifs' sometimes. We were at Michaels this weekend and they had these cute little bales of hay that would be PERFECT for a centerpiece! Just and FYI for all of you lucky Fall brides out there. Could do so much with it. Oh well, I'm very happy with our original decision, but have a habit of over analyzing and second guessing myself. Anyone else?

i over analyze everything. i think that may is a wonderful time to get married too. i would either want to get married in the fall or spring. they are both wonderful times of year.

Spring is just like the fall - only with better flowers. I over analyze everything. Go with the plans you have already made. Its a lot less stressful that way.

Originally I wanted spring, but just couldn't do it with tax season.

i would love to have either a spring or fall wedding over a winter wedding, but due to all of FH's schedules winter works best for us. I just love the color options for fall/spring. So I am making it work best

I voted for May although I had a otught time deciding between that & September. I think both are excellent months.

i am having the same dilemma. spring & fall both offer so many beautiful flower options. i think i am going to lean towards the spring more because i hate that it gets dark out so early at this time of year

Re: Questioning my decision

the only reason I wasnt spring was (in my head at least) bc it is towards the end of soccer season and I know FH would be too busy coaching the travel team to have to worry about a wedding...
But the fall is in the middle of the soccer season, so he has to deal with that one...Plus the fall i can get married on my parents anniversary!!!

The spring and fall are beautiful times to be married!!! The spring has nicer more colorful flowers though.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Thanks for making me feel better. Guess I'm just all caught up in the fall feelings and wasn't thinking straight. Spent the night smelling my pumpkin spice yankee candle and i got all emotional about fall.

Guess one way to look at it is spring is about fresh starts and new life.

Re: Questioning my decision

I love Fall and it's the only thing I wouldnt budge on. My parents tried to convince me to do winter or early spring to save money...But I have alway envisioned a fall wedding and couldnt get past it.

But Spring is also beautiful and you get more daylight...which I wont have in the Fall. Dont 2nd guess yourself (although easier said than done)...I am sure you made the right choice!

I wanted Fall...but FH's schedule is crazy...so Winter it is!!!!

So between my birthday, X-mas, V-day and my anniversary...I'll be showered with gifts for 2 months!!!!

I love the fall....but I really wanted to get married in May. But then, the flowers were not full enough for me, so we had to move to July. Hopefully, afterall that it wont rain!

It's such a guessing game with mother nature! Some years the flowers are gorgeous in May, others you are let down until june. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for beautiful weather and flowers. I'm sure everyone is lol. Wish we all had crystal balls.

Its perfectly normal to second guess yourself but don't worry, spring is a beautiful season, you will have lots and lots of wonderful flower options to choose from and everything will be great!

Just think about it like this:

You get to be married sooner!!!! Just imagine when your turn comes and you get to finally make the post that says, 'ok ladies, it's time to say goodbye!!!'

Oh Goshhhh I dream about it!!! lol.

Yes. That is something I look forward to. It's gonna be so weird as people start to go off and get married. We'll have been together so long!
