Questions about DIY aisle runner
Hi Ladies....I'm new here ,
So I just came back from blowing up my monogram to use as a stencil for my aisle runner. Now I have a few questions:
1) As you can see from my monogram some parts of the letters are very thin at the end...should I just buy an extra small paint brush for these areas or just use the fabric pen? Or both??
2) I had 2 copies blown up one with just the letter 'D' which will be in a lighter color in the background. I was planning to paint that letter first and then do the rest of monogram on top of that after the 'D' has dried. Is this the correct order of things?
3) In the areas where the 'D' and the rest of the words overlap do I still paint the D in the light gold and then paint over it later with the dark purple? Or do I leave those areas blank while painting the D and then fill them in the dark purple later?
4) Should I draw both stencils (the 'D', and the rest of the monogram) on the aisle runner together first then paint or draw and paint the 'D' and then draw and paint the rest of the monogram after it??
5) I'm also using a bible text...would you place the monogram before the text on the runner so that the guests see the monogram first when the runner is rolled out? (That's what I was thinking about doing)
6) How far up the runner are you placing the monogram??
If you can answer any or all of these questions it would be very much appreciated!!
