Probably when they are ready to do the bustle is the only time you need someone to go.

bustle is usually done at second fitting- if not final. don't worry about it for the first.
and if you can't bring anyone with you for the bustle--don't fret. the bridal attendant at your RH will likely be the one who does it, cause they are very well versed in it. my attendant did mine with the quickness that day!

you dont have to bring someone with you but i think its nice to have someone. My MOH came with me which was a big help, because then she was getting me into my dress vs. someone i have never met.
