Hello all.. My friend who's also getting married next year and I went to check out leonards today and she loved it, especially their prices. We could not believe everything including the vieniese hour was included for a price of 90pp on a saturday night and she and I think it's too good to be true. Since their next tasting is in June and she needs to book a place now, could anyone tell me what the food and service is like? she was considering Jericho Terrace but we hated the appetizers so thats out, even though the place is beauuuuuuuuuuuutiful!! Any input you guys can give would be great.

Re: Questions about Leonards
im getting married at JT so if you want you can FM me about prices or whatever questions.
Are you talking about appetizers during CH at JT bc those are very good...or when the reception starts and they have the appetizer waiting for you at the table, you can talk to them maybe about changing it...personally most of the appetizers waiting at the table that most places have i never really cared for

Re: Questions about Leonards
I just booked leonards and like any hall have heard mixed reviews...more positive then negative ( thank goodness!)
my FH was there for a marine ball and wanted to look there right away.
I too was suprised at the price just be sure she looks at the menu carefully...bc we added some stuff on and the price rose quickly!

Re: Questions about Leonards
my best friends wedding was at leonards...beautiful place...the food was good...there was a problem with her wedding with service and she knows that and put it in her review. I think 3 or 4 tables werent served their food and then when their dinner came out it wasnt cooked properly. She complained and the hall refunded her all the money for those tables.
But all in all i had a great time at her wedding. It was beautiful and i loved it.
JT I was there like 5-6 years ago for a cuzins wedding and I loved it. She had the dome room. but honeslty i dont remember much bc it was so many years ago.

How is Leonard's? Is it a very commercial type hall?

Re: Questions about Leonards
I've been to Leonards and Jericho many times for weddings. The food is good in both places. Like any other place, you might hear a bad review, but both are popular places for weddings on here. So I see them as credible RH.

Re: Questions about Leonards
I am having my wedding at Leonards next year. Im paying $95 pp and that includes the cocktail hour with 3 extra stations, the 4 hour reception, and the v. hour. (total 6 hours). I went to a tasting a few months ago and the food was great. I have heard great things about their food so I am not worried at all.

Re: Questions about Leonards
I think it's going to be hard to go with food based on word of mouth. I had a friend who waited to have the tasting at Leonards and she hated it so she didn't book. I have other friends who loved it and had no complaints. Can your friend wait till June for the tasting? that way she will know herself and wont have any reservations. good luck!

yeah what month is she looking for...when i booked in oct at JT they were already pretty booked up...May was practically booked, just one date was left.
But from what i see theres a difference in price. Unless you get the penthouse at JT then it will be similar to leonards prices, otherwise the difference is enough to help make a decision bc then it will depend alot on their budget

Re: Questions about Leonards
If she's booking in June, those dates might already be gone...I got the last date in July and my BM told me people were already booking into 2010! The food at the tasting was okay, i'll be making a few changes though...I'm having my reception at leonard's and I have no regrets!

Re: Questions about Leonards
if JT is having a bridal show soon go there to taste their food, they serve CH type food and even have desserts and the chocolate fountain, plus they have open bar

Re: Questions about Leonards
The price at leonards depends on what you want to add on the menu and the time of year so I wouldnt go by that...
Tastings only allow you to see the CH food and not the main dishes.
I know two people who had weddings there last year and raved about the food, service and atmosphere...
