Questions for married brides and those who have already had their showers...(poll)

Unless you were part of the planning and your shower was NOT a surprise, were you able to figure out when and/or where your shower was? Were you REALLY surprised? 'Inklings' count as not surprised.

I should have been but I ran into one of my bridesmaids on the morning of my shower with all her shower stuff! Oops :)
She's lives next door so it was risky!

I was definitely able to figure out which weekend it was, but up until 30 seconds before I walked in the door, I wasn't sure where it was going to be. It may have been more difficult to surprise me b/c I live in CT and people needed to find a way to guarantee I'd be on LI the weekend of the shower.

I was almost suprised. One of my bridesmaids had accidently told me the day made sure that I was 'invited' to two parties that day. I really thought that the 'retirement party for my FHs uncle' that we were invited to in the morning was real and the 'award that gradpa would be getting at the american legion' was the hoax. Turned out they were both hoaxes...(OK, maybe I was a little naive to think that a retirement party would start at noon) Then I saw one of my cousins in the parking lot of the 'retirement party' and I knew.

I had an inkling. My coworker tried to throw me off by telling me it was on a diff date LOL

I knew what weekend it was because family was staying with my mom from out of state, but they all tricked me and made me believe it was Sunday. It went even further when Sat. morning, my fiance gets a phonecall saying a friend had car trouble and that we need to run and help her. Running out of the house with no make-up and dirty clothes, I then entered this restaurant where the whole party was. I was mortified and starting crying because I thought it was Sunday and even had my outfit picked out. They way they got me into the restaurant and everything was flawless. I was floored!

My uncle called the Wednesday before my shower and completely blew the surprise. I knew I was getting one, but DH had done a great job of throwing me off on the date by mailing three or four invitations to other parties around the time when he knew I suspected my shower would be.
