Questions for Rabbi, please help

Those ladies that met with a rabbi, what kind of questions did you ask when you met? What kind of issues did you address at the meeting?

* If he has any requirements for a specific text for the Ketubah

* Ask him for an outline of the ceremony / order of things he suggests (will also be helpful for when you make programs, if you're doing them)

* Can you ask friends/family to read the Seven Blessings?

Ditto Jess's questions, plus

-Do you need to have anything covering your shoulders while under the Chuppah

-Do the groomsmen need to wear kippot

-Ask about the Ketubah witnesses - evidently different Rabbi's (or maybe it's the different sects) have different requirements - i.e. ours had to be Jewish, (bar ot bat mitzvahed) and NOT related to either of us. I have had friends whose Rabbi's allowed their witnesses to be related - so just double check with your Rabbi.

We had 2 meetings with my Rabbi - he just wanted to sit down with us and get to know us as a couple. He also explained in detail the entire wedding ceremony, and all the rituals and their meanings.

A Rabbi marry us and my only question to him was - can you marry a catholic bride to a jewish groom?

That was mine--plus, will you do a Saturday day wedding!

FH was more concerned with things like the amount of Hebrew in the ceremony and whether or not we'd have a say in what was said and if the ceremony would reflect both of our beliefs and values.
