OK so we booked Med Manor and are not overly impressed with the food. We are going to visit a few other RH this week. I turn into such a dunce when I'm physically at the place. I was thinking of just setting up a spreadsheet with questions to ask and having one sheet per RH.. WHAT SHOULD I ASK??

Re: Questions to ask at RH
These are some questions that I wrote down. You may not need all of them ...
Do guest get drinks (champagne) upon arrival (for free)?
Can we have cocktail hour outside, weather permitting? Or can we do inside/outside cocktail?
Can we substitute some food that is listed in the cocktail hour at no charge?
Is cocktail food replenished?
Can guests get seconds/thirds of entrees?
Can we have the suckling roasted pig as par of the carving station at cocktail hour?
Do children eat free?
Do house vendors eat free? ½ price?
Do you offer white glove service?
Do waiters bring guests drinks per table or do they have to go to the bar and get them?
Do you give direction maps/cards for guests? Place cards provided?
Can we get a custom wedding cake? Can we choose from a book and you make it? Filling options?
Even though there is no payment plans, can we come in every couple of months and pay cash?
When is the final guest count due?
Do vendors need to supply you with a certificate of insurance to work with you?
What is your payment plan? Cash, check or credit? When is the final payment due?

Re: Questions to ask at RH
I made a spread sheet as well. The questions I asked were: The pricing? What is included in that package? Can it be customized? What is the minimum? Are vendors free, 1/2 price of full price? Are children under 5 free, children 10-12 free/hlaf price etc? Is there a vegetarian dishe and does that count as one of my choices? Is the cake included? What are my choices of cakes? Can we do ceremony on site? How much does that cost? What does that include? What are my choices of linens? Is there valet parking, is that included in the price? How many guests per table? Staffing? Is there a Maitre D' and a Bridal Attendant? Are there services included or extra? Are any centerpieces or votives/candles included? Is there an indoor/outdoor CH? Can there be an outdoor ceremony? Is the facility wheel chair accesible? What are the prefered vendors? Where is the nearest hotels? Do these hotels offer specials for those getting married a this RH? Also ask for a breakdown of pricing.

Re: Questions to ask at RH
if you are looking for a RH, I would highly recommend North Ritz Club. We had our wedding there and still our guests are complimenting the food and service there.
DH and I looked at over 15 places and most of them are very good at giving you all the info during their tour. but just in case you want to fill it in later and compare, here are a list of questions
as for questions -What is the pricing for a Friday night, Sat Afternoon, Sat evening, Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening? What is the minimum number of guest I need to guarantee? -If I wanted the ceremony there, how much would that cost? What is included? Can it be indoors/outdoors? -Are there elevators and wheel chair accessibilty? -Are guests greeted with a champagne drink? -What kind of liquor is served for open bar? -How many stations are given during the cocktail hour? -Are hor d'ourves hand passed with waiters in white gloves? -How much are extras for stations? -How many hours is the reception? -How many people can be at each table? -How many staff members do you have waiting on each table? -Do children eat free? half price? -What are the house vendors you recommend? Do they eat free or half price? -Is the cake included? -Is there valet parking? -Is there a Maitre D' and a Bridal Attendant? -Is there a payment plan or installment plan -When is the tasting?
