Quick DJ Question

How much of a deposit did you have to give your DJ? Just want to have an idea so I have the cash on me when I decide to book :)

Mine was $500 but he let us put down $100 just to hold the date and sign the contract so I'm bringing him the $400 later this month.

I think we had to give him 20% of a $2300 package? We usually like to give more just to get it out of the way though. Clearly you can tell my FH is in charge of the money portion of the planning haha

We didn't have to put down a deposit because the DJ is FHs friend from work. All we have to do is give him the $800 on our wedding day. I don't like that idea, so I'll get him the $ sometime this year.

Ours normally charged $500 but we added more onto the package so we left $1000. Less we have to pay in the long run and a reliable company so we weren't worried about leaving more.
