Quick easy poll regarding the engagement shoot!

Hey there,

I have my engagement photo shoot w/ TP in 2 weeks and I think I want to either:

Get my make-up done professionally

or

Get my hair done professionally (ie. blown out nicely with big round brush, etc.)

Don't have $ to spend on both -

WHICH IS MORE IMPORTANT!? TIA!!!

i would just get your hair done! and i wouldnt do anything too fancy! i feel engagement shoot you should look your best, but be pretty casual!

for mine i got my hair blown out, but instead of the normal straight look the, blew it out with curls!

I think getting your makeup done is more important and I definitely think you should consider it. For my E-shoot I had my makeup trial and I am glad I did. When I got my pics back, I was able to see how my makeup showed up in the pics. I loved how my makeup came out but when looking at the pics, I realized I may need more blush and a darker lip color. Just something to consider. HTH

f u wear makeup everyday...then i would say get ur hair done..cause u know how to put it on

if ur like me who never wears makeup(although god knows i should) i would get the makeup done..t will photograph nice

well I like the natural look for epics but it depends on whats more important to you.... how were you thinking of doing your hair... I did my hair and makeup by myself.. but if you just want to blow it out, that isnt that expensive, so maybe you can do both hair and makeup.

I bought the DIOR airbush makeup they sell at sephora and did my own makeup and it came out great!

i voted makeup bc i wanted to see how it photographed..

AND we took our pics at the beach so my hair was all over the place anyways so i would have just wasted money.

Mine's at the beach, too - and the wind is a great point!

DEF MAKEUP!!! :) THATS WHAT COMES OUT MOST IN PHOTOS DEFINATELY.. U CAN ALWAYS BLOW OUT UR HAIR OR CURL IT A LITTLE. EASIER TO DO YOUR OWN HAIR.. MAKEUP REALLLY STANDS OUT IN PHOTOS.. JMO. :)

I chose to save the money...I am not averse to it but I don't see it as necessary. If they concidentally ended up being the same day (like a trial)...I'd be OK with it but I'm not gonna go out of my way to spend the extra dollars

do your mu....try to get the trial that day....you want to see how it photographs!!

my photographer actually recommended this !! he said that sometimes the brides DO NOT like how the MU photographs...and its better to find out on the day of the e-pics than the day of the wedding!

i would do make up. my e-pics are next monday at 11am and my make up appt is 9:30. im sure an artist can work with you.
i would use it as a trial to see how it shows up in pics. i would wear your hair how you normally wear it

I don't think you really NEED either...but if you want to do one or the other, I would say makeup and not hair. I just so happened to get a hair cut the morning we did our non-pros, simply because it was the only time I had available to do it, so I had my hair blown out, and FH hated it because I'm just not me without my crazy curly wavy hair, and he didn't like that our STD magnets showed me as something I wasn't. I'm sure your FH isn't as uptight about stuff like that, because really, who is besides mine LOL, but he does have a valid point.

For our pro pics in a few months if anything and budget allows, I'll have my makeup done, but I learned my lesson with the hair.

Well, we're using TP too, so clearly we couldn't wait until September/October 09 for pics to use on our STDs, so we had a friend of FH who is an amateur photographer do the session for our STD pics. He was very good though, had lighting set ups and everything! If we didn't get epics included, and only had used his, I would have been happy with them because he's very good.
