Our response cards were addressed to my parents. On the invitation, I'd put the time that the cocktail hour starts as your reception time b/c that's the beginning of your reception. There's no need to separate the cocktail hour time from the rest of the reception.

I had the responses come to my house (I was not living with my parents). It was easier for me that way and they did not care.

I agree with the girls who wrote above me for the RSVP card and yes it should go to your parents.

But I have a question about your cocktails and reception, is everything at the same place or are you getting married in one place and having a reception and cocktail hour elsewhere? If your wedding is all in one place I think reception immediately following is fine. People understand that means you are in one place all day/night and right after the ceremony is the cocktail hour and reception. However, if you are in another place, then traditionally people do a seperate card with all that info or if your invite is long/big enough then you can put it all on one card.

Responses definately go to your parents, and I agree with BHW.

Since our ceremony, CH and reception are all at the same place we put one time, which is the start of the ceremony. Everything follows. Most people know this.

I am having the RSVPs come to me. I don't live with my parents and they don't want to be bothered with them anyway.
