I have posted in the past that i have one crazy staff member. We clash all the time and things arent so great with us. I have 5 other staff members who are lovely and loving and I love them (lol). I want to invite them to the wedding but not the 6th crazy one. Can I do that?
My supervisor said I can do whatever i want, its my wedding. But as much as we clash, I don't want to hurt 6's feelings. There's just many many other people on my preference list before her. Thoughts?

ohhhh thats tough!!! I wouldn't invite them because i wouldn't want the off-chance that they actually show up and annoy me on my wedding day! But thats just me! I would probably invite everyone else on the sly!

i would invite them but ask them to respectfully keep the wedding talk to a minimum at work since 6 isn't invited. i'm sure she's not expecting to be invited anyway but there's no reason to cause drama or hurt feelings anyway!

i wouldn't invite the 6th person .... i'd tell the lovely five that she's not invited and ask them not to discuss anything wedding-related in the office so that the 6th person doesn't get offended.

knowing her, she still would come. shes crazy. she's one of the many people who asked me 'are you inviting me to your wedding?'

I have the same thing going on in my office- there is one person that I am not inviting and I really dont feel bad about it. Its your wedding-if you dont feel comfortable inviting this person just dont. JMO

I wound up inviting my person like that... it's a total of 13 co-workers and then him so I figured what's one more... especially since my co-workers love to chat (they actually ask me stuff abt the wedding) in front of him as his desk is next to mine...
if you don't invite her, I agree, keep wedding stuff at the office a minimum... especially after the wedding. Make sure they know not to say anything in front of her.

totally wouldnt invite the 6th person and just ask the other 5 to keep wedding talk quiet. since i know you work in a social work-y environment i'm sure the others will totally understand and respect/help you out. if 6 finds out and confronts you just go wth the standard 'i can see this is really upsetting you, lets talk about why that is...'

I work with some wackey girls too but for the most part we work as a team BUT there is always drama... I am not inviting anyone from work...I do not care for them all and some I do... so I made the choice... just my family and close friends... BUT you have to do what you feel girl... ITS YOUR DAY!!!
