I think the odds are the same. I usually pick 3 ones with my #'s and 2 QP's

the odds are mathmatically the same, but i always hear that the winners used quick pick.

I do like 2-3 dollars of my numbers and then 2-3 quick picks

Lotto my own numbers, but Mega Millions I do quick pick. I look at the numbers and almost every time someone wins the big money it is a quick pick.

I did both for the Mega million. Fh did all QP, b/c he said that everyone he's heard of that wins, has doen QP.

Marcella: When you play lotto you can pick to get paid (if you win) in installments or cash value. In other words, if you pick 'Cash Value' you get the money (minus the taxes) upfront. Instead of being paid a certain amount of money each year.

If you say cash value you do not get all of the money though, because lottery payouts are generally an annuity. You only get the whole amount (minus taxes of course) if you take the 26 payment option. With cash value you get about half and then they take half of that amount in taxes. So with cash value you will get about 1/4 of the announced prize after taxes. If you take annual payments you will end up with a little more than 1/2 of the announced prize after taxes. You just don't get it all at once.
