quick question...

I am going to an engagement party tomorrow for one of my good friends (male). They did not register anywhere so am planning to give money. Who should I write the check out to?

We got them in either name..When we went to the bank we both signed it...Plus we are on the same account so they didn't give us a problem...If I wasn't then I'd have to show id...No biggie they take it

We didn't have an e-party but we received checks in the mail as engagement gifts. Those we received were written out to me. But, I don't think it really matters who it's written out to.

You can't go wrong with writing it out to Cash!

We received a few checks with both of our names on it.

I think you should give a check it you want and make it out to your male friend.

I'd write it out to 'Cash'

I agree. This is what FH and I did when we attended his cousin's E-party.

who are you better friends with him or her. Write it to the person whom you know better, write it to both, or cash.

I would put both there names on it - that way either one of them can cash it but at this point they should have a joint account with both there names on it - But if you don't feel comfortable doing that since he is your friend make it out to him
