If you and your best friend got engaged within three days apart would you be mad if you got engaged first and you feel like her fiance should have waited or told your fiance before he did it because this was your time, or would you be happy that you could share this time together and do all the fun stuff together. (P.S. we are not friends anymore because of this)

Re: Quick question???
I would be happy and spend the time planning together. Think about it this way, if you were her, would you want to wait to get longer to get engaged because she just got engaged?

Re: Quick question???
One of my best friends got engaged less than 3 weeks after me and I couldn't have been any happier!!! I love knowing that we can share our happiness at the same time together. It definately helps with planning too... I love to bounce my ideas off of her. Don't let this ruin a good friendship it's not worth it.

Re: Quick question???
I wouldnt want to wait and I do not think that my Fh should have to ask her's first if he should wait since they just got engaged and I also felt it was so childish because this is our day and it was not on the same day as her's and we have different family and friends to share it with so why not just be happy?

Re: Quick question???
I'm sorry she's upset with you. I think that's a silly reason to not talk to you.
I'd be more upset if the weddings were 3 days apart.

Re: Quick question???
I would be happy, but the same thing is happening w/ my MOH. She just wants all the limelight to herself. Sorry you are having the same issue

Re: Quick question???
If it were a best friend of mine getting engaged I would be happy for both of us!! I do understand though why one of you may be a little (can't pick the right word here, upset?) about getting engaged 3 days apart. But like people have pointed out, it's better than being married 3 days apart.
It stinks, but I'm glad you found out what kind of person she is ahead of time

Re: Quick question???
It was just bugging me bc i thought i did something wrong even tho everyone keeps telling me it was her. I always go out of my way for others..and i always seem to get hurt in the process..

Re: Quick question???
I wouldnt be mad if we got engaged around the same time, but I think you two should plan around each other's weddings and not get married so close together this way you both can have equal time in the spotlight

Re: Quick question???
My sister got engaged 3 hours after I did. How could I be upset? I was too happy for her to be mad.

Wow - Are you me by any chance?? This totally happened to me. I got engaged on Saturday Nov. 19 and my other friend got engaged 4 DAYS after me (Thanksgiving) and I was LIVID!! I was so mad at her and then she even booked her wedding before mine on top of that. I definitely feel like her fiance could've waited. ESPECIALLY because I was dating my boyfriend for 7 YEARS and she was dating her boyfriend for 5 MONTHS!! They could've used the extra time..........I am still friends with her however and we are both in each other's bridal parties, but still. I am still a little sour over it and it's almost been 6 months......

Re: Quick question???
Why is she mad that your FH proposed to you?
That's so silly!
Did he need to ask her permission?
Are you guys having a fight or did you really lose a friendship over this... IMO if she was going to be your MOH, she must have been a very close friend... how long ago has it been?

Re: Quick question???
This happened Jan 2. I got engaged Dec13. and she got engaged Dec 10. She came to my house and acted like she was happy but later told me she did not want to be there and she called and wished me a merry xmas and her fh called my fh on New Years Eve to say happy new years and I had no clue and then i called her the next day to make plans to go out when she told me that what my fh did was wrong and he was a liar bc he acted like he didnt have a ring yet to her fh...like he was supposed to clear it with them first and let them know when he was doing it, but they never let him know what they were doing!!!
