Quick question for anyone who knows.. how long after your married before you can change your name on license..etc... and how long after your married to you get your marr. cert.. ??

You have to wait until you've received your marriage certificate. Once you have your original, you can go to the DMV & Social Security office to change your name. You MUST bring a certified original certificate...they won't take it from you, just look at it for verification.

We got our marriage certificate in the mail the day before we came home from our HM, just one week for us!! Sometimes it takes a lil longer tho.
Then you'll be able to go to the SS office and DMV to start the name change process.

most girls have received theirs in 2 weeks. if you don't receive it within 4 weeks, you are supposed to call the town/city hall where you got the license
