Quick Question

Quick Question

Since there will be a lot of partiers at my wedding, I want to make sure that no one drinks and drive. Unfortunately we do not have enough left in our budget to hire a shuttle but I am thinking of printing cards and placing them on the table and list a few different taxi cab company phone numbers. Would this be tacky of me?

Re: Quick Question

I don't think so. Personally I think it is a great idea. I am completely against drunk driving and I think the fact that you are giving everyone a number to call is pretty awesome.

I think this is a great idea. You can also ask your RH if they provide free parking overnight for your guests who are unable to drive and they can call them a car service or something.

Do you have alot of out-of-town guests? Some hotels will provide a free shuttle if you book enough rooms. The courtyard marriot in farmingdale may offer this...

I don't think it's tacky at all. You want your friends and family to be safe. I think it's very thoughtful.

Are these for your OOT guests?
If so, what about putting this information in the OOT bag so they can decide at the hotel (before they start drinking). This way their car is safe at the hotel and there's no chance of them drinking & driving.

Also, maybe you could call up some of the local cab companies and see if they will offer your guests a special rate from the hotel to the RH and then back to the hotel. This way you're not having to shell out any money.

Just a thought.

Edited for spelling.

I don't think its tacky. Hopefully people will make their own arrangements beforehand. But its thoughtful. I am against drinking and driving especially if people leave my party and something bad happens.

Not tacky at all. A nice reminder to your guests not to get in the car if they've had too much to drink!

Re: Quick Question

Thank you all for your input, I am going to have the cards printed. I will put them in the OOT guest bags and also have them on the tables where I will sit most of our party friends just as a friendly reminder. Thanks again!!!
