I got three boxes of pampers at my shower. 2 boxes have 228, and one has 192. They are all size 1-2.
Is that enough to start with or is it too much?

Re: Quick question about pampers
Ronnette said that is was too much when she saw it, she said they should have gotten you them in different stages. Did anyone by any chance give you gift receipts???

Re: Quick question about pampers
I'm not sure where you registered? Did you register for them?
I'm sure that as long as you don't open the boxes you can return it to BRU or Costco.
These are usually the stores that carry those big boxes.

Re: Quick question about pampers
I didn't register for them. I assume they got them from BRU or BJ's.

Re: Quick question about pampers
Did you register at BRU? If u did register with them, they are very good about returns. Since u don't have a receipt, they might not give u money back for it....but u can get store credit for the current price of the pampers.
If all else fails call 800-Pampers and let them know, they might send you coupons or try to work something out for you.

Re: Quick question about pampers
I would leave one box unopened, and if you don't use it, you can either try to exchange it at BRU for a different size, or donate it to another LIW Mommy-to-be!

Re: Quick question about pampers
BRU allows you to exchange unopened boxes of diapers for another size of the SAME brand- with no receipt. Keep the boxes unopened until you are ready to use them. This way, if the baby grows out of them before you get to the box you can exchange them.

That is too much, but BRU takes everything back unopened for credit. I should know I am the exchange Queen!

Re: Quick question about pampers
Also, it totally depends on the size of your baby. size 1-2 goes up to 15lbs or 17lbs (too lazy to get up to check ) and I was only 15lbs when I was a year old so that would have worked for my mom. But my brother was 10lbs when he was born so I guess those would have been done quickly. I started buying diapers with the 15% coupons plus manufacture coupons from BRU. I figure I can always exchange them for a new size if I need to. Better too many diapers, then not enough. Again, it will all depend on the size of your baby anyway.

Re: Quick question about pampers
It sounds like too many in one size. I was surprised that even with a tiny baby like Lyla (6 lbs) she grew out of each size so quickly. She's in 3's at 5 mths old.

Re: Quick question about pampers
Damien just started 2's so for me that would have been an ok number. He's goes through a lot of diapers being BF. So it really depends on the size of your baby.
Oh wait I just re-read it, 2 boxes That is a lot. I agree go to BRU and do a return or exchange. But it sounds like they may have gotten them from Costco or BJ's.

Re: Quick question about pampers
the boxes are HALF size one and Half size 2 though.. (Arent they?) I think that should be fine to start out with and depending on the size of your baby you will probably need more size 1's to pull you through it. Good Luck... Maybe open one box to see just how many 1's are in there... or if they are the same size throughout...

Re: Quick question about pampers
I have some of those big, case boxes and I think the size is just 1-2, not half a box of each. am I wrong?
I also got a 2 packages of the newborn ones with the cut-out for the belly button. I am sure I have too many size 1-2s as well Natasha- but I would rather just send Scott out to exchange them. I would just stack them up in the closet and wait to see... Who thought 2 years ago we would be asking about diapers?
