Quick question about Pump In Style breast pump...

I just opened up the box, and I'm trying to figure it out. Now, it says when you first use it, and then every morning there after, you're suppose to sterilize the equipment by boiling it in water. It says not to sterilize the parts in the microwave it may damage the parts? I don't understand because it comes with, and I bought extra Micro-steam bags to sterilize the equipment with? I can't use them? Can I use the bag for the first time use?

Also, what exactly am I sterilizing everyday?

And after each use during the day after the initial sterilizing, I can just rinse out the equipment and then put it back in the bag? Is there anything to keep the parts in, inside of the bag so it doesn't get dirty in between feedings?

Too confusing, I have no clue!!! (At least for me!)

I sterilize the thing that goes over the breast and the collection bottle that I collect into. I dont' use bags cause I don't have very much to get....

I keep everything in a tupperware in my cabinet. But you are going back to work, right? Michele will have the answers for you.

Do you sterilize the yellow part and white rubber thing that attaches to the breast part?

I boiled everything the first time and now use the microbags once a day.
I use a large sized ziplock bag to put any 'wet' parts inside of. Also, Melissa, make sure you always keep the free hand-pump that came with it inside your bag. if you are ever missing a part, or if anything ever breaks you can just use that. I have used if on trips to my ILs tons of times and it works great.
I pump into the medela bottles then transfer to my playtex bottles or the gerber milk storage bags.
Let me know if you have any pumping questions.
