oh Tilde who were in the skylight room with a min of 150 on a saturday?!

that is crazy my minimum was 150 for a friday when we were getting married in Sept but now that we changed it to Dec our price went up as well as our minimum does this make sense???

say we were paying $100 on a fri in sept now in dec it is $105? Does that make sense it's freaking dec?! And our minimum really went from 150 to 175 and in the same room on a Saturday?! I know it's a day change but the time of year you would think it would be cheaper? Am I getting ripped off?

That does sound odd I'd ask for an explanation especially since December isn't peak season for them. Unless they consider the time around the holidays peak season?

yeah i think since when i changed the date i went by myself and get intimidated easily the BM took advantage of that because he even told FH on the phone our price would higher or our min it was up to us what we wanted to choose!!?? W T F? I am mad now. Thankfully FH comes home in MArch and we can go down there. I think I might ask for a new BM?

Who is the best?? Any suggestions

i think you should call - it seems like december you should not be paying more and you should be able to negotiate down your minimum. it's off season!

yeah at first we were fine with everything in sept. i think they could have thrown more in but wasnt going to push it our price was great!!! well we switched to dec and nothing- See Fh was in Japan talking to our BM to change the date. I went to actually change it and didn't talk to FH before hand my mistake. But our BM told fh that we would either have to change our min from 150 to 175 or go up in price per person. So we said we would actually rather go up in price since we werent sure about 175. Now we are sure we can do that so I am going to ask for the Dome Room if I can. Hey if everyone else in the Dome Room can have a 175 in Dec why can't I plus I went up in price as well. And I signed the freaking new contract and didn't know and when FH went to call him back he wasnt there and never called FH back. HE was pissed but now when he come home in march we are going down there.

anywhere. in general. i've never been, just trying to figure out if they do any 'small' weddings. like 100 or under

They have 2 rooms with skylights, one is a GInormous dome, the other a beautiful skylight. 2 rooms are completely enclosed with frescoes on every wall and no outsdie light what-so-ever.

thanks, it's not for me. I'm trying to prove a point to my sister, who i think is going to insist i invite her SIL to my wedding b/c she was invited to her SIL's sister's wedding at JT.

and 1. I don't want to invite her and 2. I want a VERY small wedding. So i just need a few facts to back it up.

I LOVED the dome room! But they told us the minimum for that room was 200...so we didn't have enough =((

yeah im pissed i got to check it out when FH comes home! he will talk to them. i feel he can be intimidating. but i am so scared to open my mouth in any situation i hate confrontation etc so i never open my mouth. lol so i need FH there or my Dad. Maybe he can talk ebcuse he almost had us walk out when we first booked for Sept because the BM wouldnt add in any extra like NON and everyone I know has added extras.

Really?? When we went there, the guy was real nice. I don't remember what his name was, he threw stuff in, showed us the kitchen where the food was being made, but we went with Sand Castle!

i spoke to a bm at JT last month when we went to pay an installment...December is not cheap anymore, we happen to just talk about whether it was busy or not in the winter. Remember that although there might not be as many weddings in december, there are ALOT of x-mas parties. JT does alot of corporate parties in december and get pretty packed with parties.

agreed - they told us that our competition for lowering the guarantee/price was holiday parties - which we kind of knew already since FH is in the business.... but we were able to argue that a little too - since holiday parties dont usually have a cocktail hour and a vienesse hour.....Jan & Feb are def cheaper than December
