QUICK Question for Swan Club Brides

I have a silly question for all past and future Swan Club Brides.

Could someone explain to me the role of the Maitre'd? I have not met with mine yet, so I am not quite sure what they do. Are they sort of like a day of coordinator?

For example, if I have DIY cebterpieces, would my maitre'd be in charge of making sure they are arranged on the tables? And the escort cards on the welcome table?

QUICK Question for Swan Club Brides

Just to clarify the maitre'd does not always do your centerpieces but SO much more.....They are the ones you can go to throughout the process to ask questions about the room, the schedule, floorplan etc. You will make an appointment with the Maitre'd 6-8 weeks before the wedding to review your menu and finalize the details. They act as the liaison between you and all of your vendors and waitstaff to ensure the day is perfect. Many times they will have you assign someone to do your diy centerpieces as it can be a liability for them it do it (in case something breaks) so they usually suggest you enlist a friend or someone to be in charge of that stuff as the maitre'd and staff are all very busy that day getting all the details together for your wedding.

QUICK Question for Swan Club Brides

You may have to set up the centerpieces yourself, as usually the florists do this. Is your Maitre D Joseph? He is amazing!

QUICK Question for Swan Club Brides

I got to meet with him last night :) My oodles of questions were answered! I do have to coordinate someone to set up my centerpieces but that is fine, I understand why with a multi-piece DIY centerpiece set up would be up to us to do lol.
