Quick Recap-my 8/24 Wedding-The rain stayed away!

Hi all-
Just a quick note before I'm off on my honeymoon.
Luckily, the rain stayed at bay and I was able to have my 12:30 ceremony and all my pics outside at East Wind, so all my stress about the weather was for nothing. It does pay NOT to listen to the weather reports!

Everything was FABULOUS! The day was perfect, just as I had envisioned. Everyone was on time: the photographer, video, and limo, make-up and hair, which made things run very smoothly. My hubby and I are thrilled as to how everything turned out.

John from VIP was very good to work with and got all the shots I wanted (now I just have to see them). He was low key and never asked us to stop the action to take a photo. His style worked well for me because I don't enjoy taking pictures and he made it easy.

Mark from Videomaker was equally good, even offering to go tell the band leader not to play our requested songs while we were out taking a few family group shots. I'll let you all know how the video comes out.

Rhapsody was our band and everyone (young and old) loved them. We were especialy impressed as to how many songs they learned for us in a short period of time.

Rev. Joe and Judy were fab as well and everyone raved about the ceremony. Judy also kept my long train in line while I was at the alter.

And East Wind's service and food was excellent. I didn't peruse the cocktail room, but the food I had was great and everyone stuffed themselves so much that they had to take most of their dinners home.

My florist (Eric from Dix Hills Florist) really outdid himself. I will post pics as soon as I have them, but the centerpieces really made the room. 32 inch plus high candelabras with 24 dozen roses (a mix of pink, white, and purple). The bouquets were equally stunning and exactly what I requested.

I hope all other Saturday brides did just as well with the weather and had great days, as we all deserve after all our planning. Now on to the next advernture...Hawaii!
