quick review of Marina del Ray wedding I went

FI cousin and his fiancee got married at Marina Del Ray..

Pros:
- Great view, nice marina area.
- Beautiful lobby area with water fountain --- beverages served there before the ceremony.
- Cocktail hour was very good (everyone loved the pizza!)
- Food was generally good (I heard that the eggplant parm and veal dishes were superb. chicken marsala was so-so.)
- Attentative staff

Cons:
- Valet parking was somewhat disorganized (but it was probably because we were leaving and another party was about to start)
- Detours on the way from either Throgs Neck and Whitestone Bridge (however, don't panic, it's relatively easy to get to once you follow the detour direction)

Additional notes:
Cake: It was delicious. I forgot to mention the dessert trays. They were very good and popular even though we already had so much food!!!

Ceremony: Very simple ceremony they had under the gazebo. Every now and then, an airplne flying out of LaGuardia would fly by, but no worries. I think on a beautiful sunny day, it's GORGEOUS! It was cloudy, but it was still nice (I know nice is a relative term, but I thought it was a beautiful setting).

My parents got married at Marina del Rey 26 years ago - it had a great reputation then and it still does now. We went there first when we got engaged but they were already booked for our date. Anyone getting married there should have no worries - it's a really gorgeous place especially with all the new renovations.

Marina Del Rey was my second choice... its a very beautiful place and the food and service is really good too! I lovee the outside area right off the bridge ...

I went to two weddings there about 14 years ago, and they were both great. I still remember the food, it was delicous.

I think it was chocolate cake with whipped cream and strawberry jelly???

I also loved the dessert carts
