I just got inspired by the thread about crinolin or hoops. My wedding gown was very poufy and I thought I was going to have the hardest time going to the bathroom, but I figured out how to do it without anyone helping me. What you need to do is lift the front of the dress up and sit/squat facing the toilet. It was a little bit of a project, but I think it was a lot easier to do it like that than try to get 3 people to hold the damn thing up. Good luck my fellow poufy girls!

I think I went potty once....and all I had to do was pick up the bottom of my dress....but I've heard some girls put a sheet on the floor of the bridal suite, step out of their dress, and then step back into it....

That would have been way too much work for me. I couldn't really lift from the back because there was just too much dress with the bustle and all. Lifting from the front was the perfect, and almost easy way, to go.

That's a great idea but I had stockings on so that would be a lil harder. I had my MOH help me before we left for the church and then my DH helped me in the bridal sweet before the reception. 2 times wasn't so bad!

LOL thats so funny. I joke with my Mom that my dress is so poofy that I think I am going to slap a Depends on and call it a day

My sister-in-law did this twice...Once as we were leaving for church & then once at the reception!

Obviously my method may not work for people wearing stockings, but for bare legs (like me) or thigh-highs it will be fine.

THANK YOU!! I've been nervous about this since day one. You should have seen my face when they showed me what I thought was the bride's bathroom at the Milleridge (this teeny narrow little room). I almost cried with relief when I saw the real bride's bathroom (BIG) but this was still a worry of mine. Maybe I'll practice peeing that way now so I have the hang of it that day

I only went once and my MOH held my dress up for me. We laughed the whole time, that's the the true friendship test!

OMG...I was just telling my MOH that she is going to have to help me go to the bathroom...there is no way that I could go the whole day without needing the potty LOL I think that I could sit facing the toilet...I am wearing thigh highs not pantyhose! Thanks for the tip!!!

Honestly, I went to the bathroom once and what I did was used the bridal suite and I actually took my whole dress off! I had a strapless so all I had to do was unzip that and my slip and step out. It was so easy and i really dont think I could have peed with someone else in the room!
The woman at the bridal shop recommended doing it that was and it was a peice of cake! My MOH had to unzip me but that was it!

Another crazy tip is to cut a hole in you stockings (kinda like crotchless) and then wear no undies. I didn't think it to be true but 2 people I know did it recently an they said it was great b/c the couldn't imagine trying to squeeze in and out of panty hose with all the poof of their dresses!
