Another crazy tip is to cut a hole in you stockings (kinda like crotchless) and then wear no undies. I didn't think it to be true but 2 people I know did it recently an they said it was great b/c the couldn't imagine trying to squeeze in and out of panty hose with all the poof of their dresses!

I'm with you!! That sounds messy!

that is a good idea. I just took the acrilyn/slip off then I could hold the dress up my self in the stall.

I was so concerned about this! I have a real problem with someone being in the room with me while I'm peeing! Thanks for the tip and easing my mind!

I just got inspired by the thread about crinolin or hoops. My wedding gown was very poufy and I thought I was going to have the hardest time going to the bathroom, but I figured out how to do it without anyone helping me. What you need to do is lift the front of the dress up and sit/squat facing the toilet. It was a little bit of a project, but I think it was a lot easier to do it like that than try to get 3 people to hold the damn thing up. Good luck my fellow poufy girls!

Obviously my method may not work for people wearing stockings, but for bare legs (like me) or thigh-highs it will be fine.

PURE GENIOUS!! I will be bare legged with my semi puffy gown, and my train/bustle is ridiculous, I can't wait...it might even make a photo op from the back...i mean picture it...woman in a gorgeous gown semi-squatting facing the bowl!!

I think I went potty once....and all I had to do was pick up the bottom of my dress....but I've heard some girls put a sheet on the floor of the bridal suite, step out of their dress, and then step back into it....

Thats exactly what I plan on doing. I bought cute lacy boy shorts from Victorias Secret in case anyone on FHs side sees me almost naked in the bathroom.

This made me laugh!! I remember my first trip to the potty on my wedding day at my hall. I went into the bathroom in my suite, which thankfully was huge, and I tried a few different approaches, and came to the conclusion that it was easiest to slip out of my whole gown, go potty and I slipped right back in, it was soooo easy and I didn't need any help at all!!

this is great...and helpful. Something I did not even think about!

Looks like I'll be squating facing the toilet since my dress is a corset tie up back I don't see me 'slipping' out of it!!!!

I didn't want to wear stockings anyway!
