Quitting

Quitting

I think someone else on this board might be quitting smoking too!!

I am on DAY 5 of no ciggs!!!

I think last time I made it to about the same point, but something feels different this time. I can't explain it.

I got super pissed at FH two nights ago and I almost caved. But I stayed strong and felt SO much better for it the next day

Any other ex-smokers out there?????

I'm not a smoker, but good for you too!

I'm an ex-smoker (I still love saying that). Keep up the good work - you can do it. It was the hardest thing I've ever done and it might be one of the things I'm proudest of.

Re: Quitting

i need to quit! I have been trying,. Like an idiot, I quit for a good 2 months, and then when we bought the house, I started smoking one here, one there, and it started the nasty cycle again. I used to smoke a pack, sometimes more. Now it's only like 5 cigarettes a day, but it still *****!
I need to quit!

Congrats! I'm on day 3 and it's getting a little easier! I was just saying how weird it is that I feel different this time, like I really want to quit! Good luck! Hang in there!!!

Truly its down to a now or never scenario with me. I just feel like if I don't do it now, I never will.

I don't want to die from something smoking related.

Want to know something? When I was in college, I was literally addicted to coffee... I am notkidding... my body craved the caffeine etc... And without it i would shake...

That was hard enough...

I COUL DNEVER imagine having to quit smoking...

You are awesome for already making it to FIVE days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep that up!!

Re: Quitting

Congrats keep it up... FH quit cold turkey as part of an agreement with me...
I have bad ears and he said he would quit smoking if I'd wear earplugs to his shows or to concerts... which I was opposed to (now I can't even be in a loud room w/out digging in my purse for them!)

I'm so proud of him since I feel he obviously had the harder part of the deal.

He says that there isn't a day that goes by where he doesn't want one... if people are smoking he still feels the craving. I'm so proud of him that he quit... I don't know if II could be that strong for him..... give up chocolate? Not on your life! lol

Good luck, keep going... I guess it gets easier... but you'll have to fight it for a long time. 1 day at a time that's all you can hope for.
