Quote of the Day from my 5th graders...

So these two fifth graders are boyfriend and girlfriend, and they're talking about getting gifts for eachother for their birthdays (uh, yeah a little young?)

But anyways, another girl across the table said something along the lines of:

'Well at least I'm not dating you'

and so the boy says

'Well you did in 2nd grade'

her response?

'Well that's when we were young and stupid'

So apparently, by 5th grade, they've got the dating scene all figured out

As a fifth grade teacher, I totally appreciated that. My best one was one saying to the other, 'Dip me , I'm a chicken tender' Whatever that means. Thanks for the laugh.

I was sitting with them at lunch when this happened - i had to bite my lip to stop from laughing.

Wow, 5th grade and they have it all figured out? What does that mean for me... it took me until age 32 to meet my FH? I must be really slow. Then again I'm still in high school (as a teacher)
