I have no idea about rabbi fees, but I was a little surprised when I found out that most churches in Brooklyn charge $800, but after reading the posts on here it seems to be the norm on LI as well.

wow, that is nuts! My mom asked my cousin's Rabbi (during the Bat Mitzvah, lol....) how much he would charge to do it @ the venue, and he said $1200.

my hall said they could get me a rabbi for 300 ..... might be doing that

Over $1,000 seems completely INSANE if you're not even getting to use the temple (please pardon my ignorance if where people get married is called something else).

not sure exactly how much our rabbi costs, but since he was so highly recommended we decided that we had to have him even if it was a little bit extra. good luck!
